Responsibilities
As Chief Culture officer Mrs. Anderson is responsible for spotting crucial developments and opportunities with respect to cultural
trends inside and outside the company that could enhance performance. Mrs. Anderson is responsible for the development and
implementation of human capital strategies which result in a highly engaged and productive team of associates who are able to execute
the company‘s business model. She is responsible to design and implement customer loyalty strategies that build long term
franchise value. As a member of the executive team she provides advice and counsel with respect to strategic planning and management
of resources. She works with associates throughout the company to maintain and enhance First Reliance culture. She manages the culture
team which is comprised of marketing, PR, customer management, event management, product experts, HR professionals and corporate
communication professionals. These teams combined are integral to delivering an exceptional customer experience while at the same time
providing associate with an incredible work experience.
Experience
Mrs. Anderson has 8 years experience in the US retail banking industry. Prior to relocating to the US she worked
for 25 years with the Royal Bank of Canada a premier global financial institution.
During her tenure at Royal Bank, she held several senior management and executive positions in sales, human
resources, information technology, quality service, and strategy. In 2001, she transferred to North Carolina to
lead the Human Resources Team for the US Retail Banking subsidiary as Vice President of Human Resources. In her
last assignment with RBC US as Vice President Strategic Integration she was responsible for companywide project
management integration of bank acquisitions.
Prior to joining First Reliance Bank, Mrs. Anderson was a Human Resource Consultant providing a variety of human
resource services to small and medium sized companies.
Mrs. Anderson joined First Reliance Bank as Senior Vice President, People Management in June 2006 and in October
of 2008 assumed responsibility for the Customer Experience team.
Memberships
Currently, a member of the Human Resource Committee of the South Carolina Bankers Association.
Previous community involvement included membership on the Conference Board of Canada's Business and Education
Forum on Science, Technology, and Mathematics for six years. Member of Board of Governors for Lakehead University,
Canada. Board member of Non for Profit organizations; Actua, Canada and Futures for Kids, North Carolina.
